We use Somfy motors for these electric blinds as Somfy are the world leaders in motorisation and control systems for automated products. This Somfy system consists of a motor unit and radio receiver, which are concealed within the tube of the roller blind, and a battery tube which can fit neatly behind the blind out of sight. The motor is powered by 8 x AA Alkaline batteries and typical life expectancy is around 1 year! Our blackout fabrics are multilayered and do not allow light to penetrate the fabric. The fabrics have a self coloured blackout backing and due to the nature of this backing gives the blinds some thermal properties keeping your room cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Size: The width and drop you need your blind. Measurement: Are the sizes for your blind a recess size, exact blind size or fabric size? (NB The fabric will be approximately 3.5cm narrower than an exact blind size).

Fabric: Which colour you would like your blind to be? Motor Side: Which side would you like your motor to be on? A Recess measurement is the size from wall to wall within an aperture that the window sits in. We recommend measuring in 3 places both along the recess and top to bottom of the recess. Give us the smallest of these measurements to ensure a perfect fit. If you are fitting outside of a recess and need the blind to cover an area, we recommend adding additional width to your blind fabric to ensure full coverage at the window and minimise light creepage around the sides of the fabric. If you are fitting outside of a recess give us the fabric size or the exact blind size.
